Title: Fish water as plant food?
Post by: Dans on July 26, 2012, 06:43:58 pm
My OH was thinking about using the waste water from our tropical fish tanks. We change the water levels to keep the nitrates down for the fish, thought the plants my appreciate it! Any ideas if this will work as a plant food? Obviously if we've medicated the tank for any reason we wouldn't use the water, but otherwise I think it may work, or am I just being  :dunce:?

Hi Dans  .  I'm sure it would be fine to use although there will be only a little  nutrition in it.  We used to bail out our duck pond to water the fruit bushes and trees most effectively  :&>
