Title: Anyone else feeding
Post by: Beewyched on July 20, 2012, 10:13:06 am
So worrid about my No 1 hive & the little nuc I split away earlier this year - I'm now feeding both.  I've given-up hoping for any honey this year - just concentrating on keeping them alive  :fc:   :bee:

You're doing exactly the right thing, if they haven't got any food by way of stored honey and pollen, give them something. It's been a rubbish year for most of us and any honey they're making they will be eating to survive.

YES, i got a little flurry of honey at the beginning of the season but then lots of swarming and therefore nucs and these have needed feeding so it has all gone straight back to them.
