I am a lambasted college lecturer in forestry,Arboriculture and wild deer management. Married with two young teenagers. We live in an beautiful part of SWScotland and home is on 11/4 acres which incorporates large ponds for trout, garden for veggies and an orchard. I have reared pigs in the orchard on several occasions and am doing so at present again. I would like to try my hand at a couple of lambs one day preferably Jacobs for the meat value. Did have chickens when the kids were small, they used to be allowed to take live chicks in at Easter to show the other kids and teachers but that soon became non pc health regs etc etc. still when we got rid of the chickens it was 6 months before they realised soo much for kids observations! If I won the lottery it would have to be a 50 acre small holding no doubt a dream of many :farmer: :farmer:

Hi from another one in South Lanarkshire  . We have sheep, hens, a veggie garden (currently full of champion weeds :-[ ), recently planted trees and hedges, too many vehicles and a new pond with nothing in it yet - fun to come. Oh - I also spin and my OH plays the pipes - small pipes these days as he's run out of puff for the Highland War pipes :o
