Hello there. I keep a few chickens, but in my dreams would like a few goats, a rescue donkey or two and an old orchard! A friend gave me some fertile (hopefully) eggs and they're coming to 21 days. Homemade incubator so have no idea of success rate. Interested in discussion on chick feed though. But also can anyone advise on incubation period? Husband refuses to believe it is 21 days exactly!

Hello and welcome from a wet Wales.
I am new to chicken keeping myself but believe the incubation period is 21 days. Someone with more knowledge will be along shortly.

 Hello and welcome from Powys.
Officially 21 days but it does vary a bit. If your incubating temperature is a bit high it maybe a bit sooner, say 19-20 days and if the temperature is a bit low it may take a little longer. Also eggs from smaller/bantam breeds sometimes hatch a day or so early.
Good luck :fc:
