Title: Hello From Midlands
Post by: nettie on July 05, 2012, 09:39:40 am

 I would like to introduce myself

I am a hobby sporthorse breeder ... but like to use the best bloodlines the world can provide,
We are based on the outskirts of Birmingham
I am lucky enough to have a 10 acre plot of land where we have 4 stables and a school
We have planted approx 20 fruit trees last year and we are experimenting with 2 peach trees this year in a sheltered area with full sun   :fc:

As some of you might be aware we currently have 2 hens and 6 cockerals ... and hopefully soon to have a few more hens
We have a little ride on mower that has big ambitions to maintain all the paddocks .. we give him a loving pat after a hard days work  ;D

We had an Arab mare on loan called Nettie, she was lovely. Have you considered the portable stables that you dont need planning for, they are on skids so you can tow them about paddocks?
We are down to only 7 arabs at the moment.  :eyelashes:

we did consider temporary stables but really wanted nice facilities
we are now pleased with brick built stables but clad in timber to keep neighbours happy
electric so we could have CCTV for the cameras when the foals are due
we just need mains water now ...been catching rain water very sucessfully but since vet emergency realized mains water would be useful  :'(
we would like a lamb or 2 but dont know if will end up wrapped up with too much paperwork  :-\
The planners are now pleased with what we are doing but the neighbours are convinced we are going to move 100 emigrants in lol xx

Tizala I love arabs ...worked with them when I first left school ..even had kockeys licence

Hello Nettie from the Midlands at the moment, but South Dordogne from 1st September -if the poutry export goes to plan.

I know there is grass around Birmingham. There is some between the crash barriers on the M6, I've seen it!
