What should I use in the way of a wormer? my chicken and ducks are all new for me, and I wonder what is best to use? advice please :-\

I think there is only one licenced for poultry and that's Flubenvet. Fortunately, it has a zero withdrawal period for eggs. It comes as a powder that you add to feed for 7 days. It's a bit of a pain though so I buy Marriages Layer pellets with added Flubenvet and feed them for 7 days.
There are also herbal wormers like Verm-X but they reduce worm burdens rather than eliminate.
Worth thinking about faecal sampling as well to see if / when you need to worm and to see if your wormer is working.
No idea about waterfowl.

I routinely do ours every Spring and every Autumn. I use marriages because the maths involved with Flub powder is too much for my little brain ;)

We use Marriages premix as well, mail order from SPR (I think?). We are going to try syringing Flubenvet powder mixed with Olive Oil because our chickens get very stressed locked in the run for 7 days with only pellets to eat, no treats. The only way they get the correct dosage.
1 scoop of Flubenvet treats 2Kg of feed which is enough for 2 LF chickens for 7 days. So one scoop with Olive Oill and one 14th of the resulting mixture (the Flubenvet adds about 0.8ml to the measure of oil) each every day. Then they can free range eating whatever they want.
