The lovely Roxy(kune Kune) waited until we got home from the Highland show before she farrowed!
Home at 3, first piglet born at 5.45 then a long wait before any more. At 9.45 we were up to 8, after birth etc all out but at 7am this morning an extra little black one!
Back up with the kids at 8 and one of the lovely tri colours was dead, mum probably squashed him, will try and get a pic on this afternoon.
-
must be the day for for them squirting them out perky our Hampshire farrowed through the night 10 this morning when we got up then another 5 but one drowned in the sack at the back of mum and another one just saved in time next four days will tell how many will be reared for both of us :farmer:
-
god knows whats going on, went back up and did a recount, had 8 last night went up to 9 this morning then down to 8, now i have a black one missing and a tri colour appeared!!!
will take mum outside, close the gate and do a proper head count!

Great news  what's the final count and where's the piccie ?

We also have had two Kunekune litters born, two days apart. Which piglet belongs to who ??? ??? :-\ we don't know and piglets and sows don't care. All fourteen suckle one sow and an hour later the other sow lies down for them. I note, though, that only one sow stays the night with them, the other waiting to feed them in the morning. They all seem sturdy and happy so I will leave it to them :)

Congrats! hope you find out the correct number!
Sylvia that sounds so funny!! although hard work when it comes to registering them!
-
They won't be registered, they will be eaten :( Can't imagine it now, they are so lovely :pig:

Wowee  - love the stripes Alison, very cute :eyelashes: . I had a fair few with birth stripes from a couple of litters this year too from my Ru boar. What bloodlines are yours?
 :pig:

Lovely piglets !
I saw the first one on FB but missed the rest of them ::) Gorgeous brown piglets  :pig:
Congratulations again :-*
-
Also a Ru boar, its funny that she gives the similar quantities of colours each litter, we have always had one brown and 2 tri, 1 black and then the rest black with white, always been half boys half girls too.
-
I love the brown one :pig:

Oooh, it's a Ru boar who's fathered my upcoming litters (he's still behaving himself Lynne ;) ) so now I'm very excited (well, more than I already was ;D ) about the possible colours I'm going to see :fc: Here's hoping they are half as cute as yours Alison
