My Golden Guernseys Girls (Goats). Starting to settle in. I know a bit about horse/dog/cat psychology, but goat psychology is a whole new ballgame!
-
They are lovely!! A man in our village used to have a GG and I always admired it. What are their names?
-
Very nice!! They are such a lovely warm colour aren't they?
Bet they have their beady eyes on those lovely trees:-) but your fencing looks good :-))))
-
There names are Vinnie, Toffee and Amber, not that they respond to their names - its cabbage and brown bread that gets them coming. I've used alapaca hurdles for temporary pen until we do the permanent fencing, then intention is to use the hurdles in different locations for browsing.
-
They look gorgeous :)
-
Very nice
-
Are'nt they nice, What is it with goats that they must climb on everything ? Nice hurdles, are they tog proof?
-
They must climb on everything because their food is usually on a ledge just out of reach..its instinct ;)
-
What beauties.
-
They're lovely
And yes, goat psychology is a whole new ball game - and very entertaining :D
-
they are gorgeous, can guess the front one is working out just how to reach the other side of that fence :innocent:
-
gorgeous :goat:

They look really great, such lovely goats, I've always fancied some but have some bagots in the pipeline... good luck with your little golden girlies.
-
bagots are fab!
tell us more.... :D

They are gorgeous :)

Always wanted some goldens back in the eighties when I first had goats, very poor quality back then, very small gene pool, seems they've been coming on leaps and bounds since then.
Didn't a lady hide them in her cellar when the germans were there and people were short of food?
Anyone ever heard of the Golden Guernsey Donkey? (now extinct)
I've always thought they like to climb because the mountain instinct is still there and they just like to be high up.
