Hi there,
I have only just seen this place to introduce myself ::) I have made a few posts already but now Im going to say hi
My name is Jess, I am 21 and I live on a smallholding in between reading and Basingstoke on the hampshire/berkshire border.
I have 4 acres and I breed pedigree Kunekune pigs (I have 3 girls, 1 castrate and 1 baby boar)
I currently have 15 sheep made up of 12 lambs and 3 ewes. I buy in orphan lambs in march, wean them at 25-30 days old and rear them on good grass to be finished by september-ish where I sell them straight to the public ( at a good profit ::) )
I have just got three ewes and hope to breed from them so I have ewes feeding lambs aswel as me feeding the orphans I buy in for next spring :)
I am hoping to rear on any unsold pigs for sausages/pork but so far I havnt had any unsold, so no porkers yet!
oh yeah and I have free range laying hens running everywhere of mixed breeds having find and playing hide and seek with the eggs...
Thanks
