Hi! I have 18 eggs in my incubator. Hatch date is today, but 8 hatched last night. Am very pleased as only one of the Croad Langshans has not yet hatched.
My question is, there is not much space in the incubator for all the chicks, they can bearly move. Is it ok to quickly take them out and give the other eggs more room to hatch (some have cracks in them), or shall I leave well alone? Its so tempting to get them put but I don't want to drop the humidity or heat. Any advice would be welcome.

What do you have in the way of a brooder?
I tend to leave mine in for 12-24 hours and then move them in batches, to put in my brooder.

Mine hatched over 3 days following due date - no idea why as the temp was allegidly bang on - so I removed in batches as soon as they were fluffy and dry. Did it quite quickly with help and put straight into prewarmed cardboard box under lamp. All fine. Good luck, Fi
