Post by: tizaala on June 12, 2012, 05:12:50 pm
Gabi is needle phobic I'm layed up with a shattered ankle, Goat needed antibiotics jab, Picture the scene, needle prepared , me lying on sofa,  Gabi walks goat alongside coffee table for me to reach out and jab , no problem , all went smoothly and got her outside before she decorated the place with raisins. Bloody good job it wasn't one of the horses. :innocent:

OK Debbie, I'll tell you exactly what happened, I was walking Muffin the hairy tog, (not BT) from the barn to the milking parlour down the bing in front of the stables, halfway down was a barrow full of slices of hay off a mini heston, as I get alongside the barrow Muffin lunged at the top slice to grab a mouthful to take with her, but she only managed to dislodge the top slice and it fell between my legs twisting my left foot sideways while my knee went the opposite way, I heared the bone break before I hit the floor, ligaments torn from the inside of the ankle and the lower ankle joint sheered off , so this is now plated and screwed together, don't you just love goats.

ouch poor you,  that sounds like a slow mend too.
You wouldn't be without them though would you!

Is Gabi going to be able to cope with them all,  if there's anything I can do to help give me a shout.
