Title: How to identify sex of chicks (pekins)

 - Ive got 8 pekin chicks all about 4 weeks old

The boys head gear should be starting to redden up very soon. In two weeks time it will be obvious.

My pekins have all been fairly easy to sex. Larger combs apparent from just a few weeks old and look near the beak for development of wattles in the males. Also males looking redder from 4 weeks on. Found the males crow at around 8 weeks in a lot of cases.
