Title: Three Boars - Shropshire
Post by: powispigs on June 08, 2012, 09:36:29 am

HI, we have three boars who are ready to go for bacon or breed from. They are saddlebacks x GOS we bred them ourselves, always been free range & outdoors. Only selling due to moving in 3 weeks and have not got the time to turn them into bacon ourselves. Open to offers as they really need to go as soon as possible

why not send one to a butcher after slaughter and have it made in to bacon for your own freezer and sell the other two.  Home made bacon(butcher style) is better than the bought bacon....by far!   Of course you could also have some meat cuts from the pig as well

I know, I couldn't but shop bought bacon ever again after years of pig keeping and home made bacon and sausages! Moving farms/relocating business etc is going to take so much time and energy I would like to reduce numbers and keep things 'simple' for a while while we settle our children in. We still have a few British Lops but these boys need a new home

How much are you looking for them, i could use them but i live in yorkshire so the fuel would add on but if you could give me an idea i could work out the logistics
