I saw a video of Rosemary and Dan's pigs playing with a Snack - a - ball on this site some months ago and thought my girls would like one! So I contacted Dan to see where it came from. Managed to get one locally and put it in the field... it didn't take long for Pixie to work out what to do and off she went. At first the others weren't sure, they just stood and watched. Desmond quickly worked out that if she followed Pixie she would get some snacks too! I've had a go posting it on Youtube Pixie with her Snack a ball so that anyone can have a look - it's the first time I've put a video on so I hope it works! Pixie with her Snack a Ball (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQPQVWOYtnc#) If it doesn't please let me know and I'll have another go. Sorry about the wind noise

Mmm - a plastic beachball with holes punched in?
-
love it - I can see a couple here for the sheep and goats - what did you put in it Moprabbit - was it their normal sheep crunch?
-
Excellent ;D I can see what my goats are going to get for Christmas ;D

Bionic - the ball is really designed for horses so I got one from my local saddlery store - yes it was a bit pricey... I think it was £24 but my sheep love it so I'm glad I got it!! ! Bruckley - I put some small sheep nuts in it. The only thing I would advise if anyone gets one, is to put the snacks in the hole, but then put some tape across the lid because even though it seems to lock, I found that it sometimes came off and all the nuts would fall out in one place, which the sheep loved but that's not the idea!! I'm not able to use it at the minute because with all the rain we've had the grass is so long.. unlike when I took the video!
