Title: Retiring a sheepdog Devon
Post by: horsemadmummy on May 28, 2012, 06:17:22 pm
Does anyone know of a retiring sheepdog Wanting a quieter life but still working small flock?  We are in Devon and have 30ish shetland ewes plus lambs so are looking for helping hand.  Must be a boy and be good with other dogs and kids as we have both.  Want to start with an old hand and introduce a pup later once our flock is bigger and I know what I am doing.

If you know of anything please contact me

Thanks

Try DASH, also worth contacting Exmoor Farm Services - some farmers have more dogs than plenty (especially if they trial) and would be glad of a nice working home for some of the also-rans.  (That's how I got Ted, and a superstar he has been.)
