Title: Mother Goose??

Are geese the worst parents? my useless geese dont show any mothering skills at all. Having hatched a total of 4 they have all died in the nest I presume trodden on by the mother, they have been out in the warm weather feeding and drinking looking very well one minute and dead the next.                                               ???
