Title: Harry
Post by: Rosemary on May 28, 2012, 11:54:00 am
Our beautiful black cat, Harry, was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He ran out from below a parked car and was hit by a police car. There wasn't a mark on him - it must have been absolutely instantaneous, for which we are grateful. Just a sad accident - our road is so quiet, especially at that time of the day and Harry rarely went out at night.

He and his brother, Bertie, were three on 22nd April.

He was the nicest cat - affectionate, beautiful, loved to be petted and brushed, never bit or scratched, even at the vet's. He and Felix were very close - they were often cuddled up together and if he came in wet, Harry would always go to Felix to be dried off. Bertie and Harry woudl go off on advertures together - just one too many for Harry. Felix and Bertie will miss him, but not as much as we will.

Bye, bye Harrybo x

 :bouquet: :bouquet: :bouquet:  So sorry for all of you.  Happened to us last year, it's heartbreaking - kids made a little grave with some flowers called Cats Whiskers, breaks my heart every time I look at it.  God bless little Harry  :-*

Such a shame, such a lovely boy in his prime.  My cat Brendon was shot dead at four years old, and I miss him still,  He was a very special boy, your Harry sounds as though he was too.   :bouquet:  {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Know just how you are feeling, animals do just get to you and tug at the heart strings. Poor lad, at least, as you say it would have been pretty quick.
