Title: hello there
Post by: BB on May 23, 2012, 05:51:57 pm
A friend pointed me this way and thought I'd stop by and say hello

Not really and smallholder myself.........more like a farmers son whose been cast out into the concrete desert.......but I be still having a bit of land though  ;)

I pass myself off as a general builder to keep the wolves from the door and teach traditional woodland crafts to kids that have been abandoned by the education system.....and pretty much every other system.......if I'm the safety net then gawd help 'em  :-\

Anyway.....looking forward to getting to know you all and hope I can be of some little help from time to time and that i don't upset to many inbetween.  :o

Can anyone point me in the direction of the stupid question section........

Hello BB, I am sure your background and skills will be most appreciated here

No stupid questions here, only the ones we didn't ask. ;)

Hopefully the forum sections are self-explanatory, but don't worry, if you do happen to post a question in the wrong place, someone will ask Dan to move it for you. :)

Some of us had grumpy days, some of us are a little sensitive, some of us a little abrasive... but we're a pretty good bunch, on the whole, and without exception mean well and try to be helpful.  So long as that's true of you, too, you'll find yourself amongst friends here. :)

Hello BB,

welcome from Worcestershire

sounds like you are doing an amazing and very worthwhile job there. Hope you enjoy your time on TAS, there are some lovely people - I think Sallyintnorth has hit the nail on the head with her descriptions! (I probably fall in 'sensitive'?! haha)

Thanks for the welcome everyone.....forgot to say, I'm living in the Cotswolds but was born and raised in south Somerset. Still rooted there as thats where my land is and where I'll no doubt return.

Depending on whereabouts in the Cotswolds you are, you might be quite near us! We are near Offenham/Evesham but my old Daddy lives in Long Compton so one way or another we get to spend lots of time surrounded by the gorgeous countryside and views  :)
