;D Gardens are wonderful places .....especially other peoples, where goats are concerned.  I am fortunate that most of mine stay where put, although the small white goat can leap fences, but only goes in my other field.  The Franks (3 of them) are tall lanky things, and got out one day, went down the track to the big posh house, and ate the tops of the pansys in their tubs ......the fuss the householder caused you would think they had eaten some rare orchid or something

I'm touching wood as I type...its been months now since any adult goats have properly 'escaped'. We have had a steep learning curve as to how small kids can 'pour' themselves under fences and through sheep fencing and one day Puffin, the kids mum, decided to pull some temporary strip fencing pegs out and have a wander but....keeping it all crossed that our new super duper post and rail with alcatraz style electric strips along will work for some time to come!!
Main worry with other peoples gardens is what they are growing...rhodedendrums, foxgloves etc...that's what used to scare me most.

it was the way they came marching upto the house and through the back gate shouting the goats are out without knocking the door leaving the gate wide open onto a main fast road and a possiablity other animals getting out due to gate open they jumbed the 2 fences but the gg couldnt get out of the garden without help so do wonder how they got in oh well they are now munching on black berry bushes at the back of my fields

Oh dear!

It was quite funny the other day, I got a Facebook message come through saying "er, the gates open and sheep are on your vegetable patch.." took 20 minutes between neighbour sending it and me seeing it on my phone.  ;)   Might not have been so funny had the sheep missed the veg plot and marched down onto the busy road...

Oh dear. They do just love munching things they shouldn't! Glad nothing too bad happened this time. Might have to consider electric fencing too?
