i think ive cracked the problem of keeping spent grain,,,,, i get 7 - 10 bags and when we did get a hot week a few weeks ago it went off within a week... ive got an old chest freezer so i filled it up put it on fast freeze for a day then turned it off it was still frozen chilled a week later, so i lifted the lid a couple of inches and the top thawed enough to feed, as i dug down it was still chilled hard for days, i use the fresh in the first week then the frozen, still got to try it in a heat wave if we get one but working ok for now. wonder if it will work for stock feed carrots as they seem to go manky quick.
