hi there - one of our kids little annie, states to scour a little a week ago, but was not off her food...this morning the scour is all over her rear and she is off her food..is there anything i can do to help her or any ideas why kids scour? she is bottle fed, and has been on caprilac 3 feeds and goats milk one feed per day, hay is always available and fresh water. she has been wormed also. i just know that with our maisey when she was scrouring she got real porly - any advice??

She may need an antibiotic, and I would get some electrolites into her, if it has gone on for a week I would be inclined to get her to a vet.

Kids are prone to getting Coxxy aswell, you might need to get some vecoxan into her. I'd speak to the vet you need to rehydrate her if its been that long already.

the vet opens at 10am so will call them - i'm only more concerned as shes gone off her food...at least before i thought it may just be the milk replacer !!

Kids can go downhill fast when they have scours - hopefully the vet will get some fluids into her and give her a jab to help her. I assume she is not having any green food, as sometimes, this given close to having her milk feed can cause scours too.
Fingers crossed the little one is soon on the mend.

Cocci most likely, get either some Vexxocan or Intradine injcetions. No milk replacer, but you could continue to feed proper goatsmilk (undiluted) and add in some Rehydion.
