Title: twisted leg
Post by: Crazyboutdaanimals on May 18, 2012, 07:46:26 pm
hi one of our ducks has a twisted foot, she is walking around okish but does limb and walks slow because of this, her foot is twisted inwards, but am not sure what to do with it, apart from the fact she seems to be in a little pain hence the limb she is acting normally, she is laying so is a bit older (about 9 months to a yr but unsure)
any advice is accepted, as our duck is easy to catch when out (i caught her outside on our 8 acres to look at her leg extremly quickly usually it is impossible) and am a bit worried the fox may get her  :(

has it always been like this?
you could maybe splint it - but she's perhaps abit too old for it to make any difference....

nope jus about sun/mon, when i did catch her it didnt seem so twisted, it was just a little swallon i thought she may have sliped on the mud and sprained it but only wednesday i could see on the floor it was twisted, and i thought she may be a bit old to have it splinted but was unsure, would she be alright?

How about an elastic support bandage around the swollen joint Crazy?
