Title: Weaners - You know what has surprised me?
Post by: Bionic on May 09, 2012, 02:32:52 pm
Just how hard their little noses are. Its like a hard piece of rubber.  When you see the amount of digging a pig can dowith their noses I shouldn't be surprised at all I guess.

Ah well, just one of lifes observations

Just wait til they're around 5 months old and trying to lift the field gate off it's hinges while you're standing on it (as I was  :o) then you'll see just exactly how tough and strong their snouts are  ;)
I'm so glad you're enjoying your piggies Sally

Karen,
Thats one thing OH has pre-empted.  The gate has been put on with one hinge upwards and one downwards.

Yes - their noses are like elephant's trunks. When thy are sniffling and nosing you can tell they are getting so much more information than just the smell of things......
