  Hi and welcome from suny Shropshire.  You can probably guess from my forum name where my interests lie.   ;D  I have a pure Sanaan and her half BA son, Curry (who will soon be living up to his name), together with an eleven week old SanaanxBoer.  As I 'farm' in my back garden, I am rather restricted for space so not as many as I would like.

When I first became a goat keeper, nine years ago, I had shared a Sanaan (mother to my current one) and a Toggenburg with a friend but she decided after a couple of months that she didn't like the Sanaan and wouldn't have her living in her garden any more.

My OH isn't really into goats or country living in general, but said I could have her in our garden so it was amad rush to build her a shed and make a run and she came and lived with us.  By this time the (by now ex-) friend had sold the Tog as she didn't like keeping goats.

Whereabouts in Wales are you?

Hi GoatLady,

Think I might be a bit late in saying hello, but I'll do it anyway!

I live in central Scotland with my fiancée, and my mother, and a herd of 16 goats, all dairy but varying breeds as according to who they belong. On top of those 16 we have another 5 goats which belong to my sister and nieces, and the goats live with us as they don't live anyplace suitable to keep them themselves- yet anyway!

I go to most of the BGS recognised shows in Scotland and am chairperson of the Scottish Goatkeepers federation.

Hi Rose  from north Cumbria.  No goats - we're commercial beef & sheep with Jersey house cow, pigs, native ponies and a few primitive-type sheep on the side; I make dairy products for the home and have recently taken up spinning - but we all pop in and out of most of the forums so no doubt we'll meet up from time to time!  :)
