Title: old refrigeration containers
Post by: lesleysprite on May 03, 2012, 02:41:30 pm
Hi, I've read a couple of references to people converting old no longer working refrigeration trailers or containers to meat processing rooms e.g. if they want to sell a few processed on farm turkeys or whatever. Has anyone done this? Does anyone know where on earth you'd get an old refrigeration trailer?

they have to be working to act as a chiller       commercial vehicle dismantle rs and second hand van sales people

but don't go in asking straight of for a chiller van body or the price goes up  ask about transits and iveco or Mercedes Lorry's then just ask what happens to the body's they take off ;) ;) ;) ;) :farmer:

and always go and choose the one you want, cos it may have been used for fish and shellfish, and the smell will never come out.

My pal got two  immaculate insulated & stainless steel inside ) 20 foot shipping deep freeze containers that hard side and rear doors for just over £ 450 each ten years ago .
The freezer  gear had been taken out but they made fantastic honey prep rooms one for extraction , melting wax and making foundation soaps, the other for bottling & making mead9 non retail ).

So I'd also try and see if any second hand shipping containers are available as well.
