My Lily goat gave birth at 6pm this evening to 2 lovely kids, one boy, one girl.
After all the trauma of lambing, it was a piece of cake and all over quickly with very little help from me. This is her first time, although she was a maiden milker.
I was surprised by the different colours of the kids.

-
what little beauties!
Is Dad a toggenburg, or cross?
-
Lily's mother is a toggenburg. I'm hoping she's pregnant and should be due in about 8 weeks.
Not sure what the kid's father is but he looks exactly like the black one, only bigger :D.

Now where does the brown coat clour come from ???, any Golden Guernsey in the family tree?
-
They are beautiful beautiful babies. Congratulations!!
-
No Golden Guernseys that I know of. Lily's father looked more like a Saanen but I don't know for sure.
-
They are gorgeous. Congratulations.

They are gorgeous!! Lily has some horns on her for a female!! Although I had an old Toggenburg who came to live with me for her last few years and her horns were enormous too.
