Title: we have 2 acres of pasture looking into keeping 2 lambs for our own freezer

There are a few threads already in teh sheep bit about this - try cade lambs/ pet lambs etc.

I'm in a similar position and ducked out of the sheep idea in favour of 2 pigs. However now I'm back onto the sheep idea, what was suggested to me was, get a couple of ewes with lambs at foot. Slaughter the lamb in the Autumn and then do as required with the ewes, that is either sell them and repeat the exercise next year or take them to a ram and keep them.
