Unfortunately we don't have a cockeral :'(
At least she wasn't chicken dinner. She was missing when I went to lock up the coop. She hasn't been laying very well, so we suspected she was laying elsewhere. When I lifted her (with gloves, she was pecking, didn't want to go the hen house), there were 14 eggs underneath her! More :'( :'(.
Do Barnvelders normally go broody and hens without a cockeral?

All hens have the potential to go broody with or without a cockerel. Seeing as the eggs arent fertile you will need to break her or get some hatching eggs.

Try ebay for hatching eggs of your choice, if not you will have to shock her out of it or she will just start sitting again within a week or so.
