Title: Dog poo, fun and games
Post by: Bionic on April 27, 2012, 06:18:37 pm
Have you ever played one of those games where you tip a board to try to get all the balls into different holes without the others falling out?

Well thats exactly how I feel when I go to pick up the dog poo.  I get one bit on the shovel, try to pick up the first bit and it falls out. ;D

Its just sooo frustrating.

Try using two shovels, it's far easier in the long run.  ;D

I have an old handleless bucket which I line with a carrier bag then tip each shovel full into it.  All I have to do then is tie the handles and leave it for OH to put in the bin.  (There's usualy two or three hanging around before he remembers).   ;D

I juts bag it and bin it - individual nappy bags, tie them, put in empty dog food bag, put in green bin.  occasionally I feel virtuous and put it in the drain(minus the poo bags, of course  ;))

I have bought a dog poo bin that goes into the ground. So I need to pick it all up minus the bags.
The bin came with a little scoop. Thats what I am having fun with.

I am quite pleased that I am able to get rid of the poo without using the dustbin though.

I tried one of those but it could only cope with two cocker spaniels messes, not with three Brittanys  It was quite a big one too.

I use a buket in one hand, shovel in the other and scoop it in, then down the manhole into the main sewer .( My neighbour complained to South West Water that we were doing this) ??? ::) ;D

We use one of those horse poo picking bucket things - not sure what they are called!  Couldn't do without it - it's fab!
