Got up this morning to find three of my ten squashes and around 30 bean plants have germinated. They're all on window sills.
-
I think that is the most exciting bit of growing veg - when you wait for them to come up and suddenly there they are :) Please send some vibes to my cucumbers which haven't appeared yet :cucumber: :cucumber:
-
well done  some of my runners have started to stick there little heads above the compost but none of my squashes have yet. I do enjoy walking into the green house on a Monday morning after the weekend off because every thing seems to have grown lots. None of the veggies I grow are for me :'( .

Now up to forty seven beans and five squashes.

Must be catching. ;D

All ten squashes have now germinated. Hope I can find enough space for them. I usually grown them in the manure heaps but don't have so many plants. 97 out of 101 bean plants growing well too.

Remember when you were 17 Mad Goat, and you got all excited over a different type of squash? What goes around comes around.. ;)

*jealous!* going out to the greenhouse to have words with my slow veg seeds!
-
Mine are on window sills and our house is very warm.
Yes, it is a lot of beans. Last year I didn't do very well so planted extra this year. They're all heritage climbing French beans and yesterday my OH said, "Oh aren't you growing any runner beans? I love runner beans." Last year he preferred French. Can't win on either count,

one of the best things in gardening is seeing germination then next best thing is picking the fruits of your hard labour and the taste of good clean not straight or watery veg
