This is the first hatch this year - a fantastic 17 hatch! Only 1 didn't hatch :-\. We have another 5 Muscovies sitting at the moment too (that's the ones we can find!) Help!

I'm working on the assumption they're all girls ;) ! as last year we had 13 and only 2 males. In fact we have 17 Muscovy in total, so that means we've just doubled our stock with this brood.
As for colours Jaykay - liquorice allsorts I think - we have south american looking black white and reds, northern european all whites with blue eyes and graceful greys somewhere in between.
We don't kill / eat anything (I know, I know, soppy ::)) so will be spreading them around or at the sales later this year.

Great news and what a result 17 !
Still no ducklings here and mum must have been on them 40 plus days. We do have 3 other mums sitting and another popping an egg every day so fingers crossed.
The males are a pain but the greedy things put on weight quick and we ate our first. Not sure that we can eat > 60 ducks a year so we may have to sell some if they all hatch.
We have one albino mum so I am keen to see if we get more.

60 ducks in a year is a lot but i think i'd be prepared to give it a try, duck is yummy!!!
