Hi
I thought it only polite that I introduce myself as I’ve been wittering on about cheese in the food section.
We (husband and me) have a smallholding in NE Scotland where we keep goats, sheep, Dexters, poultry and 3 German Shepherds.
I love making cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, baking of any kind, sewing, knitting, crochet but most of all, felting. I’m slightly obsessed with tea cosies and hats and do sell some of my stuff.
I first came here looking for details on the Smallholder festival and I'm hoping that we will be able to attend if we can get away for the day.

Hi from Wales Sharon.
I have only just got my smallholding. We have 2 geese, 1 :&>, 4 :chook:, 1 :dog:, 1 :cat: and get 2 :pig: in a couple of weeks time.
I love handcrafts too. Particularly knitting and crochet. I like felting but haven't had the chance to do much yet.

Hi, like the sound of all those tea cosies!!! love crafts but I am not good at any, I run a small B&B and own 4 Labs and keep some chickens, I have a few fruit trees and a nut tree but not had much as yet as some one is able to climb my wall and help themself. We love living in the central belt, Clackmannan, but would really love to see all over this wonderful country Scotland. Look forward to seeing some photos of your animals, crafts and dogs!! love dogs of all kinds and had a German Shepard years ago and loved her to bits!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I think I've met lachlanandmarcus over on NEEPS. We are near Fraserburgh so not too far from Sabrina.
Are there any pics of your GSD Mammyshaz? Our latest boy is just over a year old.
Good luck with your smallholding Sally, we have had pigs in the past and they were a lot of fun. Although we never intended to run a smallholding, just wanted a big garden for the dogs. How little we knew!
I know what you mean Sandy, we rarely get out to see any of the beautiful scenery of Scotland. Would love to visit the West coast. I planted some nut trees last year but I think it will be a while yet before we get any return.
Look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi smithycraft - what you are doing sounds amazing. Would love to get into some crafty things at some point in the future. Have you any pics of your dogs? We have a lab already but I am desperate for a GSD. Hubby says can't have another dog till we are in the house we are building. Bit short of room in the mobile home :)

Hiya - welcome from another NEener... Who are you on NEEPS then? WE must have met somewhere!
-
Wow - building a house is quite a feat. Better tell hubby to get on with it so you can get that GSD.
These are mine

Hi Ina
On NEEPS I am WellyS. We met at the spinning class at Julie's a few years ago. I never got to grips with spinning but my husband (Welly) has.

Wow....gorgeous dogs!! Can't wait to be able to have one. Have been building for 2 years now, so hoping to be in it by this winter, although it won't be fully finished. Great thing to do, but don't think we'd do it again! ;D
