I've got to Hero member but now there's nothing to aim for.

A Senior Member has made 500 or more posts in the boards other than the Coffee Lounge, and the next level is Hero Member at 1000.

I've got to Hero member but now there's nothing to aim for.

You do! Super Hero (we have 2) is at 5000.  ;D

Next week we'll also be introducing some different ways of recognising contributions to the forums, winning online shows etc, watch this space.   :trophy:

I think there's a case for being able to restart the count every so often.  Not everyone wants to be recognised, or indeed identified.

I used to post a lot and came off the forum for a while as I was shot down once too often, not coming off again as now have a  bullet proof vest...and will let their bullets rick O shay!! ( spelt wrong I know), maybe if I'd had stayed on  I could have been a super hero too...mind you I am of the same view as Small Farmer, I post to chat with people I like or want the opinion of or to put my opinion forward, never been competitive and need no reward for communicating to people I like communicating with !

Sandy, I know from your posts that I have read that you have a wealth of experience that could be of use to others.
Be proud of your status.

i agree with sally, had you not taken a 'holiday' your post count would be up in the 1000's and your opinions are heeded and provide a sensible, in tune and empathetic part of the hive/forum knowledge. long may it continue!!

I only post on  threads I know about or am interested in, so status doesn't mean much to me, I'm afraid. ;D  Don't even know what level I'm on till I look after posting this.  ::)  I was curious nosey enough to see what it was all about though. ;D

Where's Hilary's mum - she's got nearly 4000 and hasn't been on for ages. Miss her  :(

Yes, I've wondered that too - still no sign of her.  Hope she's OK.

I am The Wicker Man

This forum like many others is a community which some people become reliant on.  Seniority carries responsibility to others in the community, but that responsibility is not always recognised.   Those who depend on the forum for social interaction can become vulnerable.  Sharing personal information creates a different vulnerability.

Remember, it didn't end well for Neil Howie in the film.

This is very true, and we've always advised members not to post anything here that they wouldn't be happy saying or sharing in public.

Google indexes most of the forum (the Members Only board being the exception) so people (i.e. strangers) looking for all sorts of things end up here, and read your posts.
