Title: Ragwort
Post by: Daisys Mum on April 16, 2012, 09:48:54 pm

I have just spent the afternoon digging ragwort out of the field that I had planned to put this years pigs in, the problem I have now is that I can't be sure that I have all the roots and as the pigs will be rooting about I am now worried about them eating them.

They will be fine, they will not eat anything that is likely to harm them.

The trick is to use a long pronged fork (I use a border fork) and wiggle it deep down under the roots. This wet weather should make it easier :)
