One note though Felicity, once you've collated the responses, it would be really interesting if you could post a wee summary of what you've found. Also, it would be really interesting to know what the health implications behind certain questions actually were. For example, yes, wild animals do have access to our hens' water supply, as it's a stream that runs through their area. The question is, what are the likely implications of this, and what should I be looking out for?
Thanks!

On a similar note, we have a bit of a rat problem, they are all around us! But they only ever go for hens that have died & are still warm, or very very young chicks. I struggled to explain this on the questionnaire
Do rats need their own question?!

Think rats would struggle to answer their own question as I suspect most are computer illiterate Little Blue.
But on a serious note, I found many of the questions couldn't be answered accurately as the option to do so was not there. I did add a note that it may be helpful to visit a few poultry keepers and view their setups and then modify the questionnaire accordingly.
Think wild animals carry lice , mites, worms and some nasty viruses Womble. Avian Flu and Newcastle disease outbreaks are kicked off when geese and duck migrate mid September.
