Title: Hello from Shepton Mallet, Somerset

Hiya all

I am a smallholder from East Somerset; owning a small flock of 17 sheep (with a few more lambs on the way) comprising of Shetland rams, ewes and lambs as well as commercial ewes and their lambs. I also keep chickens, dog, cats and have on occasion ducks and pigs.  I own my own pet related business and am joining here to look for like minded people to hook up with for events/ agri shows, coffee and general friend making as well as to offer/gleen advice and make new contacts to buy and sell stock.  Please say hello and if you are from my area I would love to get chatting and possibly meet up.

We grow fruit and veg and keep a few hens on our allotments behind the house in durham. Wishing for a smallholding one day. 2dogs and a chinchilla live indoors with us and i would love a cat again.

Hi Lisa

I'm in the Blackdown Hills.  We have cattle, sheep, pigs (rather a lot of piglets at the moment), chickens and ducks. 

Welcome to one of the most useful and welcoming forums on the net.  Ask anything you want to on here.  People are really helpful and are happy to be used as a resource and support network.  It's good to know you aren't on your own, sometimes.

Hi from Shillingstone in North Dorset.  I have hens, ducks, 5 pigs and 30 goats - which I raise for meat - and I am an organic farm which brings with it a fair share of trials and tribulations, mostly in the form of huge weeds!
