Are quails the 'new' hens then? ;D ;D ;D
I'd love to have quails - they are ideal for dog training HPRs, but I had heard they are difficult to keep as they fight, and are prone to draughts ???
-
they're not that difficult Annie
Boys together might fight to the death ... but I've seen the damage hens can do to each other just idly pecking!
Ours live out all year round, even in minus 18 & deep snow.
