My lambing has officially begun with these quads - all four are up and sucking, the ewe keeps guiding them to her teats, apart from their size, they seem full of life. I will take one away when a suitable candidate presents itself. For now they have had some thermovite and been allowed to carry on sucking......

Crikey! They all look a good size. She must have been huge. Well done

Compared to my Soay twins, they are huge :o
Hope they thrive.

Thanks
She is a Lleyn x Wiltshire by the way and was like a wooly football till today...

They look well, congrats to you and mum!

Good size! you look like your grass is about the same as mine; none there! we went to Alresford today and they had plenty of grass.but i think we are due rain soon. Well done with the quads

well done - they look great - what a great mum

Excellent  They're not a bad size at all, not surprised she looked like a football :D

I went to look at them this morning and a ewe with twins had lambed in the night....
Seems that she has 'adopted' one of the quads, as far as I can tell.
Three ewes lambed so far, 9 lambs on the ground all healthy.
Sods law being what it is, I'm now waiting for something bad to happen.....
Feldar: That field often has a spring in it in March, amazing how dry its been. Its just as well I have 50 or so on what is a 10ac field more or less, so it seems they get enough to eat, even though it looks like the tops of the downs at the moment.

Well, that's a good result

Great photo, 4 little ones to feed.....hope all goes well and like you say, you could do with a spare mum around but do not want to wish for bad things!!!!! :bouquet:

6 ewes lambed now, 16 lambs out. The adopted quad is doing well as one of 'triplets'....
