mr warburton seems to be doing well!

I love my bread maker when I'm feeling lazy or too busy to make it properly. Even when using the oven, the bread maker is still really handy to make and prove the initial dough .. then knock back, knead and prove again before baking.

cmorrell
which make or model to you have?
I would like to invest but do not have a clue which to buy.
we have had one in the past but it was rubbish so I'm not going to rush into it.

I had been looking at far more expensive models from Kenwood and the like, until a friend bought one of these and showed me how good it was for the price. I haven't been disappointed.

I cant recommend the Panasonic Nut Dispenser / SD255 enough. The difference being with the automatic nut dispenser means you can add anything extra and not have to wait for the beep to put it in. The fruit bread is wonderful - my kids cant get enough of it or you can even add chocolate chips to make a chocolate Brioche. It makes pizza bread which the kids love to help with. It comes with a recipe book included so you wont need any other one for a while.
Jut read the reviews on Amazon for more ideas.

Good Luck!

;D
just had a quick search and Dixons sell the panasonic for £84.11 with delivery
still cant afford it at the mo :-\
that is better though
you could say that means 15 less loafs to make before you get your money back

I have a morphy Richards fast bake which is very reasonably priced and works a treat but DONT use the fastbake setting you are supposed to be able to make a loaf in an hour it doesn't work!!

£84 inc delivery is a good deal thats about what I paid about 6 months ago for it. I have saved a fortune on bread since then as is makes a really good white or 1/2 and 1/2 wholemeal loaf with tesco own brand strong flour - so you have to look it as an investment as it will save you money in the long run (unless you stick to doing it by hand - I suppose!) x x

I regularly make my own, 10 minutes mixing in the food processor (which is so old Noah threw it out of the arc) and prove in my oven which I pre warm. Dont actually wake up to fresh bread, but the house smells of it all day after its baked.

Morphy richards Fast Bake for me, too. Best taste is from the stone oven but that takes hours in pre-heating (electric), only gets used when I need to do loads after another as it stays hot long - like a pizza, then bread, cake , soda-bread and rolls - so not very often. :&>
