Title: Feeding Khaki Campbells
Post by: hazelnut019 on April 04, 2012, 09:35:01 pm
Hiya, just after a bit of advice, I'm looking at getting some KCs and I can't find any info on feeding them. I know some people say you can give the adults chicken layer pellets, is this right? also how much are they each likely to eat each day?
thanks :)

Not much!

I feed them some pellets in the morning though is put down for the hens up there, they spend most of their time nuzzling with their beaks in the ground foraging for juicy worms etc.on an afternoon they have a nibble at some wheat along with the hens and geese ;D

Mine get four picnic cups of layers pellets a day between 5 of them, sometimes more if they are being noisy - they are greedy pigs!

Similar to the above. Our five get layers pellets in the morning ( about hallf a saucepanful) and some wheat in the evening.
