Is there any demand for these? the last of the broilers imported from France are laying reasonable sized eggs should I hatch some or just add them to the sale eggs?
-
market them as "easy for first time" kills ... you can easy see where to neck them!
And the one we had tasted delicious :yum:
They have a certain novelty value too :)

Have you seen the cross between a naked neck and a silkie?

Scroll down to 'showgirl'.
Not entirely sure I think it's a wise idea, but they sure are cute!

Now they are very cute ;D

Aren't they just?!
I wish I could justify having some, but I suspect they don't find winter too much fun and I need my lot to be relatively hardy, they look too delicate for the harsher weather. :D

A friend had me hatch some for him, I've never seen such odd looking chicks :D Still, they do seem quite popular...... (mystified :D)

They don't look real! I would love some of these though I suspect you would get a lot of variations from a clutch, they wouldn't all be like this one :chook:

The French naked necks are not the much smaller English purebred version, which originates from Romania. The French birds are broilers, created by crosing the tasty TNN with something else -no-one know what. Their shape is quite different, not the elegant bird you see over here. They don't lay that well. What would be intesting is a cross of the French hybrid with the Romanian original to get a bigger dual purpose Utility -project for France when we get there as we are taking a top quality breeding quartet over with us.
