I bought some hatching eggs online, sold as millefleur pekin. I hatched 3 chicks, 2 cockerels and a pullet. The biggest cockerel now resides in south west Wales, and we kept the other. To me he looks nothing like a millefleur - so what is he?

I dunno ... but lovely looking

Looks like a lemon Cuckoo Pekin to me! or even Buff crossed with another colour.
-
would also say lemon cuckoo :-)
-
Colour aside he does not look a very true to form for a Pekin! I don't like speculate but I think you were sold some bad eggs! But on a positive note he looks real good looker :yum:
-
Yes absolutely beautiful,he could be crossed with a Silkie you know.
-
He's bonny but a lemon Cuckoo doesn't have the dark tail or neck markings, it almost as though the cuckoo is coming back from the yellow what ever cross it was , you could keep him as something pretty to look at or not?
-
The pullet hatched in the same lot looks like a buff, no barring or marks at all. I will keep him as I don't intend to hatch anything from them, and he is such a character - loves chasing off the jackdaws!
-
Nothing wrong with keeping something pretty that keeps you amused!

My pekin cockerel is nigh on exactly the same colouring. His mum was buff and his dad was lavender.
-
My first thought as soon as I saw the pic was Crele/Creole - have a look at the pics on feathersite and see if it fits.
-
I was looking a something else and genetically he looks like the markings of a buff columbian with a cuckoo / barred gene
-
A lovely bird .... whatever he is. x
-
i'm thinking crele tho they poss have more dark tail feathers

Crele looks right to me - there's a photo of a crele Pekin hen about half way down the page on this link (scroll down).
