Title: Informative photo for those new to lambing.
Post by: Moleskins on March 23, 2012, 07:41:26 pm
This picture was taken today and shows the centre ewe, a Mule Texel Cross in labour about half an hour before she actually gave birth.
The picture clearly demonstrates what it says in the books (1) sheep lamb at night, (2) they will seek out a place on their own, (3) they tend to go off their food. If you can zoom in please do so to be able to see the mouthful of grass she has taken between contractions.
