I've recently started using the new ScotEID system for transporting weaners to their new owners and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it all works.
For me, one of the many benefits is being able to login and see the details of every movement, without having to look up my croft file. I haven't had a visit to the abbatoir yet but hopefully that will be just as easy.
I'm sure there must be a downside somewhere but I've not found it yet.

don't think there is a downside to the Scottish version :farmer:

Nope, it's fantastic (and trust me - I've tried to break it ;))
And if by chance you do have to phone the helpline, it gets answered by a person who then deals with you politely and in a knowledgable manner and sorts out any problems/queries there and then.
100% customer satisfaction here - ScotEID works

So jealous when the English Eaml is so poorly set up :-[(except for slaughter which is ok ish)

Except if you are not yet registered to do it through email (I will get round to it one day....) the ScotEID people said all I needed was to phone before the movement and no paperwork required (to abattoir)... well just as well that I insisted on printing a form off and filled it in, of course the abattoir wanted one after all....
But the person on the phone is very polite and helpful...
Now wouldn't it be much better if the shep & goats movements were registered at the same place as the pigs????

Anke, I think it is the same place that you do sheep movements on-line ??? I see reference to sheep movements when I log in ;)
It only takes a few minutes to set up and is soooooooo easy - well worth it

I must say the Eaml2 helpline people have always been very helpful and polite......Just a shame I've had to call it so many times!! ;D ;D ;D
