if your coucil collect garden rubbish and cardboard etc,
and have been doing it for a couple of year you should be able to get compost but some coucil sell it instead of free
check your local council webpage

Falkirk Council do it - you can collect what you can carry from the Kineil recycling Centre in Bo'Ness

I don't know what they are gonna say when i turn up with the transit and several 1 tonne bags to be filled!!! LOL

well stirling has a sign up saying  two bags of compost per person, (shhhh... don't tell any i sneecked in to the wrong district dump).
and all so don't define what a bag of compost is!
but no one 'on guard' and we went with a mwb transit. Also no one else seamed to obide by the rules.

handy tip 'Always take a spade or shuvel with you '

head off down yer local dump, most now have compost for free (Blairgowrie does now as well). FYI - it ain't the best in the world but it is free. Most of it comes from garden waste & cardboard, the latter of which relies on folks taking all of the sellotape etc. off of boxes - which having in the past watch what gets dumped ain't always the case. So worse case scenario expect to get bits of plastic & other "shite" which you'll have to pick out, that aside its free so go get collecting.
Oh & B'gowrie never put a limit on the number of bags, just as well...its all gone for the mo thou...might be due to me!!
