£1.75 for ONE slice of bread EACH the only toaster in the whole eden project was broken ::)

£2.75 for a coffee each
X3 =£15.50 for egg on toast and a coffee
we then had 2 halfs of stella, a botlle of water, and 6 olives between us, £8.60.
i spent £85 without dinner ffs!!!!
then to top it all, ive just ordered a chinese, to save me having to b....y cook like everynight, and they cocked up my £30 order. i ordered crispy duck, i got cucumber, pancakes, sauce and NO B>>>>Y DUCK!!!!!

You got done over....but I hope you enjoyed the Eden Project
I would love to go there one day. (on a full stomach obviously)

We went before half term and for all four of us for two year passes £40 and we always take our own food.
-
Oh dear!
I really hate having to part with money for something that I can do better at home ... thought of course, I won't say no if somebody else is paying! ;) :D
Hope you enjoyed the Eden project nevertheless, I too would love to go (and will take sandwiches!)
-
i go once a year, last year it was £16 in, now its £23,
the girls mum, how did you get that price? am i missing a trick??
it still doesnt explain £1.75 for a slice of bread tho!!

Er, Robert, Are you trying to equate Lanark Scrap Sale with the Eden Project? :o The Southerners think we Scots are unsophisticated enough you know, without you making it worse! ;D
-
having done eden (it was good but not great) i was glad i had paid for it in tesco clubcard vouchers rather than real money!!!
would i go again i doubt it and certainly not if i had to pay for it!!!
although that said i would say the same for many days out, i hate spending money for such things!!!
-
womble i would not equate lanark to the Eden project just the price of food many years ago when working in the BP at grangemouth a three course meal was twelve and a half pence :farmer:
-
The cost of having children with you is soooooo expensive, when my daughter came up here with her family and wanted to take me with them on thier outings it was plain to see how costly it is, I remember years ago trying to cut the expense with sarnies etc but some times you just want a treat!!!!
The cinema costs an arm and a leg so you just have to smuggle stuff to eat in if you feel you should have some treats.....
An Robert, you certainly live the high life. spending all that money on a spud!!! ;)
-

Phew, that's a relief! ;D
-
no sandy i did not spend that on a spud it was a friend that was spitting blood and feathers at the cost :farmer:
-
If you go to Eden in the winter, before Feb half term they do locals deals so £5 for annual passes with proof of residency in Cornwall or Devon, but this year they introduced the 2 year passes.
-
Phew Robert, how much would a sack of them be if one is £2.50 ???
MOney is always tight here and we had a chinese take away a few weeks ago and it was horrid and cost £15, they must have either a different chef or the place had changed hands as it used to be OK, we were both so disapointed and hungry too!!!!
-
the girls mum, i thought it was just on one day they did that offer???
-
We've been to the Eden project a couple of times but it wasn't a bad price a few years ago. Doubt if we'll go again at those prices. I do remember the food being a bit pricey though and deciding to take my own another time.

We went to Eden project in the october half term 2011. Me, OH and four kids. I got the tickets for free through Tesco clubcard rewards thingy. However it did take alot of planning and we were on hols in Cornwall. The food was astronomically expensive though.
-
No sorry DinW the locals offer runs for ages while the skatiing rink is open.
Food is extremely expensive but its the only place I know that doesn't tell you off for eating your own food at their tables.
-
ok, thanks thegirlsmum, ill look out for it when we go skating for christmas!!
