Title: It was meant to be.
Post by: Lesley Silvester on March 05, 2012, 12:16:44 am
I met up with my daughter and her family in Nantwich yesterday.  Went into the market and spotted a craft stall - mostly knitting.  The Big Stitch Knitting book was for sale so I commented to the stallholder that I had a copy.  During the ensuing conversation I mentioned that I used to be a professional weaver and knitter.  The lady asked if I did any teaching, which I did.  The upshot is that she wants me to do some teaching for her.  She sets it all up and buys the equipment and I get paid the going rate.  Definitely meant to be.  :D

Already though of that one.  In fact is was something I suggested doing, together with some drop spindle spinning and some weaving.  I know you do peg looms but what about weaving frames and drop spindles?

Can't get the spindles to balance but I know of someone that makes them and I would have to see a frame to say if I could or not
