THATS IT NO MORE...... i moved out in the sticks from the city for the good life..... 2 years on what do i have well i will tell you........... bloody cockerals crowing from next door at 5 am.......... stinking pigs when the wind is in the wrong direction,,,,, ducks quacking all day...... cows mooing all day... dogs barking ...dam church bells ringing in the evening,, and to top it all a dam rookery in next doors garden, they kick off about 4 am, ive complained to the council about this rookery etc ie excessive noise and they told me it the responsibility of the tree owner ie my nieghbour and any niose from the crows/ rooks is his responsibilty as antisocial niose is not permitted until 7 30 am, and any enforcment notice should be directed at him, and i can also include the niose from his cockeral dogs and ducks, so today i will be completing an enforcment form mainly about the rooks, i will also be putting my house up for sale (hope some deaf person wants it) and i will be moving back to the quieter cleaner city........ i have posted this before on the poultry page so if youve read this on the poultry page ime not interested in you comments keep them to yourself, shut up and goodbye
-
But what you describe is the 'good life' IMO - think just how much a deaf person would love to hear all the noises you complain about. Jan
-
RICH/JAN you come and buy it then it will have to go cheap as things are now then you can sit outside and listen to this dam racket all day from 4 am
-
sounds like my place lol. what did you expect? David Attenbourgh wandering about quietly looking at butterflies? cockerels and church bells, it was always so, and ever thus shall be! send my regards to the city, i think i am staying put! :D
-
Harry, not sure if you're joking, but when I lived in the city we had the sound of traffic passing all day and night, police and ambulance sirens constantly throughout the night, drunken groups laughing and shouting at 3am as they passed the house, car alarms going off when the local miscreants broke into them, house burlar alarms sounding every two minutes when owners went on holiday, rubbish from fast food chains on the pavement outside, rats in the ally behind the house, dog mess making it impossible to walk in the park. Don't yearn to go back there !
-
alarms passers by etc very intermittent,,,, i know these crows are going to start every day at 4am going to bed knowing this is stressfull i can find quieter areas in the city suburds.....i too have his chicken shxx on my lawn i may just get the enforcment notice to make him cut the tree down...... ime no tree hugger either

anywhere on the same wall is a success for me... someone once asked where it was best to stand when I was throwing sticks for the dog, and my then hubby said, "Right in front of her." :D
