I've planted a mulberry 10 years ago. It's a very slow grower and has never even had any flowers yet. I'm pretty sure it was sold as the fruiting variety. How long does it take or is it a no show??? :&>

My "Fruit Expert" book says "up to seven years and that they are disappointing in shady northen gardens and in heavy water retentive soils. Worth considering for southern areas"

I have a black mulberry that is only about 5 ft high and approx 11 years old ... it has fruited prolifically for the past 3 years.
Although we are not as far "up north" as you, we do have heavy soil. There's no sign of life on mine yet - it's always a very late starter - maybe this will be the year for yours!

Have you been regularly dancing around the mulberry bush (as per the song)? There may be some factual reason for this fruit tree to be used in the song, perhaps dancing helps the tree "get its mojo on" & start to flower/fruit? ??? ;D
