Hi - first lamb born this morning - Hampshire - week early. Cold weather forecast here in France for middle of next week - all sheep in Barn so we should be OK. :-\
-
How wonderful and nice to know they are tucked up - we are in NE Scotland and some neighbours first lambs have been born and I feel so sorry for them out in the cold! :sheep:

That sounds like the start of summer, at least being in a barn it will not get exposed to those horrid winds...how nice!

Congratulations

Congratulations. :D

Had half a dozen more now and another ewe has just started lambing - could be a late night. Temperature here in France -15degrees .B- --------Y cold. I doubt if newborn lambs could survive in this - snow still laying at about 4-5 inches and weather forecast to stay cold for another week and more with a prediction of more snow on Monday..We have about another 73(ish) ewes to go.

Congratulations! :trophy:

about 40 lambs now - kept on heat lamps for first day as temperatures here still in the minuses until sun gets up a little. Costing a fortune on heat lamps as they are between 150-250kw each - hate to think what our electric bill will be - but hey ho no point in keeping animals if you aren't prepared to look after them.
